- One source of this problem that has been tagged is room air ionizers or air
- fresheners/filters that work using ionization as an operating principle. Another
- source is a nearby neon sign or other electrical fixture that places a lot of
- hash on the powerline. The Amiga clock basically comes off the powerline. (There
- is a jumper inside that can change it to use VBlank. But that has its own
- disadvantages and inaccuracies.)
-
- One developer on BIX, Talin, traced it to a room air filter in the computer
- room. Another person who used it as part of his professional sound studio traced
- it to a faulty installation on a neon sign in another office in his building.
- Either removing the interference, changing to VBlank interrupt, power line
- filters, or careful hacking internally on the "TICK" signal from the power
- supply can fix it. The preferred solution for you depends on your technical
- talents and expertise.
